What people say about the Jawly

These quotes and ratings provide an immediate insight into the experiences of Jawly users, from finding relief from jaw pain to enjoying a more peaceful sleep.

    Linda

I’ve been using the Jawly for a while now. I have a lot of problems with my jaw joint, and this helps me to relax and stretch it gently. It’s a well-made product, the colour is lovely, and the storage case is small and discreet.

I keep it in my living room so I can do a few exercises several times a day. Thanks to the soft-grip tips, it doesn’t slip out from between your teeth.

    Suzanne

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. I was able to fit it into my daily routine very easily; it’s simple to use and clean, and it’s attractively designed. But it actually started to strain my jaw muscles. After three weeks, I hadn’t noticed whether it really helped with my teeth grinding. However, the pain in my muscles became too severe and, on the advice of my colleagues (I work in a dental practice), I stopped using it. Still, I know it does work for others. The old trick of biting down on a cork also had a beneficial effect for some people.

    Marjoleine

When I received the Jawly, I was immediately struck by its attractive design; it comes in a box with clear instructions. Inside, you’ll find the Jawly itself, along with a storage case. This is very sturdy, so it’s perfect if you want to take it with you.

I used the Jawly for two weeks, twice a day, for two minutes: the first time in the afternoon whilst I was doing one of my hobbies, and the second time in the evening, before I went to sleep. Both times worked fine for me; the only thing to bear in mind is that you shouldn’t point your chin downwards, as there’s a chance you might drool...

After using the Jawly, I feel that the tension in my jaw has eased somewhat. However, I do feel that, as I am hypermobile, the Jawly might work better if your jaw doesn’t habitually dislocate when opening your mouth wide.

So, if you experience jaw clenching or tension in the jaw, I would definitely recommend this product. It’s easy to use and has certainly helped to reduce my symptoms.

    Marlies

I’ve been using the Jawly for a while now to help me be more mindful of my teeth grinding and jaw clenching. To be honest, I’m not entirely convinced yet. I find I often forget to use it, so it hasn’t become a regular part of my routine just yet.

What is positive, though, is that it makes me more aware of my jaw tension. I catch myself clenching my jaws more often and can then actively try to relax. That’s already a win for me, especially as I used to grind so hard in the past that my jaw even dislocated once.

Whether the Jawly really helps with teeth grinding in the long term, I find it hard to say yet. I’m still using it too inconsistently for that. But as a tool to raise awareness, it certainly seems to be doing something.

In short: not a miracle cure for me yet, but possibly a step in the right direction provided I start using it more consistently.

    Jeanique

I’ve been using the Jawly for two months now and I can really tell the difference. I used to suffer from headaches and neck pain because I’d unconsciously clench my jaw at night. Now I wake up feeling more energetic and my symptoms have improved massively.

    Highly recommended!

    Maartje

I’m trying out the Jawly to help with clenching at night. Although I’m finding it tricky to work out how far to turn the Jawly, I’ve used it for a few mornings and evenings, and I’ve clenched less during those nights. It feels a bit uncomfortable for me in the mornings, but in the evenings I turn it further open.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I haven’t been able to use it for a few days and on those nights I’ve clenched more again. Time to get the Jawly out again!

    Ginger

I’ve been using Jawly for two weeks to help with teeth grinding. To be honest, my first proper attempt was a bit of a struggle, mainly because I kept forgetting to fit those two two-minute sessions a day into my routine. It also feels quite strange the first few times. It doesn’t hurt at all, but it is a bit uncomfortable at first, which makes those two minutes seem to last longer than they actually do.

After a while, I incorporated it into my toothbrushing routine and then it became much easier to stick to. Since then, I’ve been using it more consistently. I’ve also noticed that I can relax my jaws better. So far, at least, I haven’t suffered from teeth grinding whilst sleeping, so that’s definitely a positive and a relief! It also seems as though I can relax my jaws better/am more aware of when I’m clenching them.

You do drool a bit when using it, so it’s not exactly charming 😉 But anyway, I’ll put up with that if it helps.

    Nadia

I’ve been using Jawly for two weeks now. I tend to clench my jaws tightly, especially at night, and regularly wake up with headaches and neck pain as a result. I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first, but after about three days I really did notice a difference.

After 10 days, I deliberately stopped using Jawly for two days and then started clenching my jaws again – and yes, the headaches came back too. You can use it as often as you feel is necessary during the day. Personally, I’ve got into the habit of using it in the morning and evening, and sometimes a bit later in the day as well. The first few days I had to get used to it and I ended up drooling a bit 🙊. So keeping a handkerchief to hand is definitely recommended, haha.

Jawly comes with a handy storage box, making it easy to take with you.

    Mèlanie

I received the Jawly to try out. It comes in a neat little box containing a handy storage case and clear instructions. It’s easy to clean and keep clean. I’ve been using the Jawly every day, usually in the evening, but regularly in the morning as well. It looks a bit strange to other people. But I’ve really noticed, thanks to the stretching of the jaw muscles, that I generally have a more relaxed posture with my jaws. I clench my teeth and wear a splint at night. I still do that, but even at night I notice that I clench less, because I wake up feeling much more relaxed. I can also open my mouth wider without it clenching. All in all, we’ll have to wait and see what the long-term effects are, but my first impression is certainly positive.

    Wannes

I’ve been able to test the product for two weeks. It’s easy to use. It applies pressure to the jaw. I’ve noticed a slight improvement. So I’m going to keep practising. Two minutes, twice a day. The storage case is a bit stiff; it should be a bit easier to open.

    Annamargje

I’m glad I came across the Jawly on social media. I use it twice a day and have noticed that my jaw feels more relaxed and I have less jaw pain. It’s simple and hygienic to use. I did have a bit of trouble opening the storage case at first.

    Melanie

I’ve been using the Jawly for a couple of weeks now, for 2 minutes twice a day, and I’m really pleasantly surprised by the difference I’ve noticed! Whereas I used to always feel tension in my jaw muscles, this is much less now and I hardly clench my jaw at all anymore. A small effort with big results: I’d definitely recommend it!

    Puck

I’ve been using the Jawly for a few weeks now and I’m really pleased with it. As you only need to use it for two minutes twice a day, it’s easy for me to fit it into my routine. I can really feel my jaw relaxing after using it and I’m clenching less. I’d definitely recommend it!

    Marijn

It took some getting used to at first. It started off a bit too intense, so I had to dial it back a notch. It’s really relaxing. I use the Jawly (usually) twice a day. It’s brilliant!!

    Monique

Fast delivery. A lovely little device, very easy to use. The device is sturdy and feels comfortable. After a while, the jaw relaxes completely. I’ve been using it for a few minutes before bed for two weeks now, and my jaw doesn’t make that clicking sound as often when I chew. I would prefer it if there were a button to release the tension from the device immediately, though. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend it for relaxing the jaw.

    Claudia

I’ve been using Jawly for two weeks now, twice a day. Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any difference so far, so it seems it isn’t working for me (yet). I suppose I’ll just have to go back to wearing that annoying mouthguard from the dentist at night to protect my teeth. I’d hoped that might no longer be necessary thanks to using Jawly. But who knows, maybe it will work after using it for a longer period… I’ll try to stick with it.

    Anniek

I’ve had a lot of tension in my jaws for a long time and I keep clenching them unconsciously. I really think the Jawly is a lovely, handy little device. It’s not complicated and very easy to use. It’s great that it comes with a case to store the Jawly in. It doesn’t take much time to use, but it does need to become part of your routine. I’ve only been using the Jawly for a few weeks, but I’ve definitely noticed a difference. It all feels a bit less tense. I expect it will get even better over time. So I would definitely recommend the Jawly to other people with similar complaints.

    Dorien

I was given the chance to try out the Jawly and have now been using it for two weeks. Even after two weeks, I still find it difficult to find the right position, probably because my jaw muscles are very tense. I had a positive experience one day when I had a really bad headache and had taken a migraine tablet. The headache subsided, but it came back in the afternoon. When I got home, I took another paracetamol – which doesn’t usually do much for me – and sat down on the sofa with the Jawly. After about five minutes, the headache went away and has stayed away for a few days now. So I’m really quite happy with the Jawly and will be happy to keep using it.

    Claire

The Jawly is simple to use and feels sturdy. It provides immediate relief when used. I’m curious to see the long-term results. Although I can still feel my jaws are tense and I’m not quite there yet, my first impression is positive.

    Esther

At first it feels strange, a bit awkward – I’m not sure how tight I can go. After practising twice a day for a week, I’ve noticed that my muscle tension has eased, my jaw feels less tired and my tongue feels less heavy.

    Majorie

I’ve been using the Jawly for about two weeks now, and I’ve already noticed that my jaws don’t lock up as often. They also creak less when I’m eating. So far, I’m very positive about it, and I’ll definitely keep using the Jawly.

    Celeste

It helps to relax my whole face, neck and shoulders.

    Nadine

I was given the chance to test the Jawly. Naturally, I was very excited. I’ve been suffering from jaw problems for years, including clenching and grinding my teeth. Almost every day I wake up with pain in my jaws or a headache. I’ve been using the Jawly for over a week now and I prefer to follow the routine in the evening before going to bed. Sometimes, if I have time, I also use it for just under two minutes in the morning before I head out the door. There have been days when I’ve noticed a difference, and days when the symptoms have remained the same. I recommend giving this product a try because I do think it can offer some relief!

    Joanne

I’ve been testing the Jawly for 15 days now. Twice a day for two minutes at a time. It’s easy to use, though at first it’s quite tricky not to bite down on the spoons. It’s jaw therapy; you train your jaw to relax, which also gives you a more relaxed, natural-looking face. I’ll keep using the Jawly and would recommend anyone with jaw clenching issues to give it a try.

    Anouk

I had the chance to try out the Jawly. It has a stylish and hygienic design and comes in a handy storage case. I used it several times a day for two weeks. Unfortunately, the Jawly doesn’t work well enough for me. I think it could be really effective for mild jaw problems, but unfortunately I need something more to get rid of my jaw problems.

    Chantal R

Four stars for now, as I’m curious to see what else it has to offer! I’ve been trying out the Jawly for three weeks now and I’ve already noticed that my jaw, neck and shoulders feel more relaxed during the day. It’s super easy to use, though I still need to get the hang of the routine myself ;-)

    Ellen

I’m going to give two reviews: my first impressions and my thoughts after a few weeks. I received the Jawly in a neat package that was delivered quickly and in good condition.

    7th of April:
My first impressions? It’s a sturdy device with a nice storage case. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Thanks to its design, this Jawly can be used by most people. I use it myself in the morning in the shower and in the evening after brushing my teeth. I can feel the tense muscles in my jaws relaxing a bit, which is already a win!

But as I’ve only been using it for two days, I can’t yet report any results regarding the grinding at night. I’ll come back to that later.

    Part two, 21st of April:
I’ve been using the Jawly for a while now, two weeks to be precise. I notice that my jaws are more relaxed, less tense than before, even though I’m experiencing a bit more stress. So, as far as I’m concerned, it’s a solid pass.

I use it twice a day for four minutes. For the first minute, I set it to a comfortable position and then turn it a little further every minute so that my cheeks feel tight. For me, this works better than keeping it in the same position for two minutes.

What could be made even more comfortable about this Jawly? I find it difficult to swallow when I’m using the Jawly. It would be nice if saliva were collected in the Jawly instead of running down the side. I currently use a washcloth underneath it. A small recess for the teeth would also be nice, but not essential.

In short, a very pleasant product that does what it promises. I grind my teeth much less and it also helps me relax better.

    Meike

I’m a chronic jaw-clencher. For as long as I can remember, I’ve unconsciously clenched my jaws tightly together whilst I sleep. I sometimes dream that bits of my molars are breaking off. I now realise that this means I’m grinding my teeth. Yes, I’m hard at work at night.

I’d actually already given up hope of ever having structurally relaxed chewing muscles. I’ve tried everything: mouth guards, meditation… Botox is still on my list, but I’ve never gone that far. Thanks to all that hard work, my jaw muscles are now impressively strong. A powerful, taut, well-trained bundle. And, to be honest, that does have its advantages at 52. Whilst my collagen production is slowly declining, my muscles at least still provide some support for the whole structure.

So the bar is set high for Jawly. Not only does it have to make up for some fifty years, it also has to compete with my self-cultivated ‘muscle lift’. I don’t yet know where the break-even point lies, but I’ll let you know when the time comes.

I’ve been at it for two weeks now, and Jawly and I aren’t exactly best friends yet. I’m still a bit wary as I meekly slide the thing into my mouth. Even on the lowest setting (my jaw muscles won’t allow it to open any wider), I struggle to find a spot where no one is staring at me whilst I keep my mouth wide open for two minutes. And then I have to do that twice a day, without forgetting.

But! I believe in Jawly. Wherever I am, Jawly is there. I’m trying to find set times: before bed and when I get up. At the moment, it’s in the loo. And there we tolerate each other. The big results are yet to come, but I’m hopeful.

So Jawly and I are still in the getting-to-know-each-other phase. That phase where you look at each other and think: this could actually work out. I’m giving Jawly a fair chance. If this little device manages to turn my nightly strength training into something resembling relaxation, then Jawly and I will become best friends and he’ll get a permanent spot next to my toothbrush.

    Debby

Attractive design, handy storage case. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and have noticed that there’s less tension in my jaw, which means I grind my teeth less and have fewer headaches. So far, so good.

    LC Hart

Looks good. The instructions are a bit hard to follow – when is it ‘light tension’? I’ll keep trying.

    Susan

Nice design, very user-friendly, and comes with a neat storage case which is handy if you want to take the Jawly with you. I didn’t really like the smell. The gentle stretch on the jaw feels nice (especially when you take the Jawly out again), but it hasn’t completely relieved my symptoms yet. However, I’ve only been using it for two weeks, so perhaps the full effect is yet to come.

    Chantal H

The Jawly was recommended to me, and after two weeks of use, I can really feel how it works. I’m more aware of how to relax my muscles. I’ll definitely keep using it. The design is practical, hygienic and looks great too. It’s definitely worth a try!

    Franka

It’s a brilliant little tool. I often find myself clenching my jaws, which usually leads to headaches. Using the Jawly twice a day helps both as a preventative measure and when tension has already built up, relieving the tension in a gentle, relaxing and pain-free way.

    Adrie

I’ve had the Jawly for two days now, so it’s too soon to give a proper verdict. I use it in the morning and around 1 pm. It certainly looks good!

    Miranda

I’ve been using the Jawly for a while now. As I have unexplained pain in my molars and jaw (which tests and scans haven’t picked up), I thought it would be brilliant to see if this could help me. I’m familiar with jaw clenching, so I hoped this could provide the relief I was hoping for. And it does!

I use it twice a day. It doesn’t take the pain away, but I do notice that the relaxation of the jaw muscles feels incredibly good, and on the most painful days it certainly makes things a bit more bearable. I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend the Jawly!

    Monique

I’ve been using the Jawly for two weeks. Two minutes twice a day, when I get up and before I go to bed. After a few days, I ‘dared’ to increase the tension slightly. After use, you can feel the relaxation in your jaws. At the physiotherapist, the neck and throat muscles are also treated, as they are connected to the jaws. With the Jawly, I feel this indirectly.

It’s still too early to say whether the headaches are getting better, but I’m going to keep using the Jawly; it fits in well as part of my routine and I hope it will have an effect on the headaches.

    Kim

I’m really happy with the Jawly! It’s easy to use and, after just two weeks, I’ve already noticed my jaw muscles are much more relaxed. Using it for two minutes twice every two days is manageable – I usually do it just before bed or at some point during the day. It’s ideal!

    Lonneke

I’m so glad I came across this on social media. I’ve been using it for a few days now and I can really tell it’s making a difference. I wish I’d discovered this sooner. My jaw feels much more relaxed now. I’ll definitely keep using it – I’m really happy with it. Thank you so much for letting me try it out.

    Wendy

‘If only the Jawly had been around years ago.’
In short: I’m very happy with it! I use the Jawly to relieve jaw tension, jaw clenching and overworked chewing muscles. I really can’t do without it now! I use it once a day as a maintenance routine, just before going to bed. And sometimes more often if I feel a headache coming on.

It’s a very effective tool for relaxing your jaw (muscles). The stretch feels pleasant and safe, and the results exceed expectations. Immediately after use, I feel space and relaxation in my jaw, and this lasts for a long time. It’s actually like the effect of jaw physiotherapy, but done at home in your own environment, whenever it suits you.

The Jawly looks stylish and is of high quality. The material is comfortable, easy to clean, and the whole package – including the storage box, packaging and manual – looks aesthetically pleasing.

    Conclusion: highly recommended!

    Karin

The Jawly is really lovely to use and actually does help. If, like me, you’re someone who clenches their teeth, you’ll definitely recognise this. Waking up with a headache, sometimes a sharp pain in your jaw that shoots up to your ear, a stiff neck. The Jawly really does sort that out.

It takes a bit of time to find a routine that works, but for those two minutes you use it, it’s not impossible. I’d even forgotten to use it because, after a week of use, my jaws felt so good that I didn’t think about it. After a few days, the discomfort naturally returned (after years of being a chronic clencher). So I quickly picked up the Jawly again and made a serious effort to keep using it. But all in all, I’m very satisfied and the Jawly really does the job. I’m going to keep using it faithfully.

    Jo

I’ve had it for three days now; it looks nice and sturdy. I haven’t noticed any improvement yet, though I do have a bit more pain in my neck and jaw. That’s to be expected, as it was clearly mentioned. You have to get used to it. I’ll write another review in two weeks’ time. I use it for two minutes in the morning and two minutes in the evening.

    Jrunious

I’ve been using the Jawly for two weeks now and I can really feel the difference in the tension in my jaw. During busy weeks, I noticed that I was unconsciously clenching my jaws. I’d definitely recommend this product!

    Mehdi

It looks lovely and professional. It’s easy to use. I’ve been using it for almost a week now. The first few days it felt a bit like muscle ache, but now my jaws seem to be relaxing more. So it’s doing exactly what I’d hoped.

    Mendaly

Delivered in neat packaging, with clear instructions. The instructions mention two minutes. I’m not sure whether I’m supposed to use it for the full two minutes.

I do notice straight away that I can relax my jaws more after using the Jawly.

    Natasja

I’ve been using the product for quite some time now and I’m very happy with it! The Jawly came in attractive packaging and includes a handy storage case.

I used to wake up regularly at night with a headache and tension in my jaws, which is a really annoying feeling. I’ve really noticed a huge (positive) difference now that I’ve been using the Jawly for several days in a row. In fact, I haven’t had any symptoms at all the last two nights!

    Ingrid

As a tester, I was allowed to try it out. It took a bit of getting used to, but I think they do work. It is snug but doesn’t hurt.

    Pien

Before I started using Jawly, I suffered a lot from jaw clenching. My jaw would always click whilst eating and would regularly lock up. Then I discovered Jawly. I used the tool for two minutes every morning and evening. I soon noticed a huge difference: my jaw hardly ever clicks anymore and, most importantly, it no longer locks up. Jawly has helped me relax my jaw!

    Nienke

Jawly has a beautiful, well-thought-out design. It feels comfortable in the hand and the different settings make it easy to build up gradually. The storage case is handy too. During the first few days of use, I did notice my jaw muscles feeling a bit stiffer, but after a few days it actually seems to be helping my jaws relax more at night. Very positive so far.

    Yvonne

I was sent Jawly to test. The box is a nice size and features fresh colours, so my first (visual) impression is good, apart from a small tear in the packaging.

I’ve only been able to test Jawly for two days, so a more detailed review will follow. I find that I’m still trying to find a suitable time to fit in (and keep up with) the twice-daily exercises.

“I struggled with persistent headaches for a long time. Eventually, it turned out that I was clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth at night. A night guard helped a little, but the symptoms didn’t go away.

I came across the Jawly. At first, I honestly found the idea a bit intimidating. It felt strange to stretch my jaw muscles. But using it turned out to be much easier than I expected. It’s simple, feels comfortable, and not scary at all. I used the Jawly once a day for two minutes. Combined with medication, my headaches eventually disappeared completely. I truly didn’t expect such a simple routine to make such a big difference.”

“I often used to wake up at night because of my wife’s teeth grinding. The sound itself is unpleasant, but I was mainly worried about the damage to her teeth.

Since she started using the Jawly, I rarely hear her grind her teeth anymore. She still uses a night guard just to be safe, but the difference is huge. And most importantly, she feels much more relaxed in her jaw. That genuinely makes me happy.”

“I haven’t used the Jawly myself, but I see every day what it does for my partner. She regularly struggled with jaw tension, especially during busy periods. What I really appreciate about the Jawly is that it doesn’t just mask symptoms, but actually helps address the root cause.

It’s easy to use and completely hassle-free. She usually uses the Jawly in the evening, and it has become a fixed moment of relaxation before going to sleep. What stands out to me most is how much calmer she is. She holds less tension in her face and shoulders and feels more relaxed overall. She also says her jaw feels less tight.

For me, the biggest plus is that the Jawly helps her deal with her symptoms in a more conscious way. That brings peace of mind and confidence. I’m pleasantly surprised by the results and can clearly see the difference it makes in her everyday life.”

“I started noticing increasing wear on my teeth and also developed pain in my jaw, neck, and shoulders. A night guard helped with the wear, but not with the tension.

I decided to try the Jawly. At first, it took some getting used to and the routine felt quite intimidating. But after a few weeks, I noticed a clear difference. I grind and clench less, and my jaw feels looser. It’s not completely gone yet, but it helps enough for me to keep going. I’m happy with that.”

“Since I started using the Jawly, I’ve realised how much difference just a few minutes a day can make. While a night guard mainly protects, this feels like something that actually helps prevent symptoms.

My jaw feels calmer, and I wake up more often without headaches. The device feels sturdy and safe, and it’s easy to clean and take with me. Using it is simple: turn, breathe, relax. Two minutes, twice a day. By now, it has become a fixed part of my day. Just a small moment for myself that genuinely helps.”

“For years, I struggled with severe tooth and jaw pain. What started as toothache eventually turned into a long journey through various specialists. Despite treatments and medication, the pain kept coming back.

It wasn’t until I started seeing a physiotherapist that it became clear the issue was mainly in my jaw muscles. They were essentially switched ‘on’ all the time. The pain felt exactly like toothache and radiated to my ear and head.

When I started using the Jawly, I experienced real relief for the first time. Just a few minutes of stretching twice a day, and after a few weeks I could clearly feel the difference. The tension decreased and I needed fewer painkillers.

Now, a year later, my jaw muscles are relaxed. I no longer have headaches, ear pain, or jaw pain, and I don’t take any medication anymore. I still use the Jawly once a day before going to bed, and I sleep more peacefully. For me, this has made a truly significant difference.”

“I purchased the Jawly because I regularly struggled with teeth grinding and jaw tension. The purchase process was clear and pleasant. The website explains everything well and delivery was quick.

Using the Jawly is very simple and only takes a few minutes a day. That makes it easy to fit into my routine, either before going to sleep or when I wake up. What I really see as a big plus is the convenience. The Jawly is compact, easy to clean, and comfortable to use.

I noticed the effects fairly quickly. My jaw feels noticeably more relaxed and I experience less tension and fatigue in my jaw muscles. I’ve also become more aware of when I clench my jaw. I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend the Jawly to anyone dealing with jaw tension or teeth grinding.”
